This year marks the 20th anniversary of the opening of our dojo at Tylers Green. Since it was opened by “Senpai” Stuart in 1991, it has gone from strength to strength and now runs more classes than ever. To help celebrate both its anniversary and its success, we are holding a special youth tournament and demonstration on the 5th December at the Tylers Green village hall.
The event will include a kata tournament (open to all grades) and a points sparring tournament (for green belts and above). We would like to encourage all junior students from across the Bucks area to take part. It will be a great opportunity for them to show off their skills, get involved in a competition, and also to meet other Seido students from the area. We will be supporting the “One Can Trust” foodbank in High Wycombe with any funds raised once we have covered our costs.
Registration will be from 9.00am onwards on the day. We expect the kata tournament to be finished by around midday, with the points sparring following on until about 2.30pm. Further information including entry details are available from your dojo head and will be distributed in the next few days. Instructors will be working with students over the coming weeks to prepare them for the demonstration and tournament elements of the event. Keep watching this space for updates!
